In the digital era we live in, where the internet is more powerful than ever, why does it feel like there's almost no room for real business and financial growth? As programmers, are we fighting a losing battle? It seems that what dominates the online world are fleeting trends—memes, viral dances, and entertainment that offers little long-term value. Meanwhile, truly innovative and meaningful products struggle to get the attention they deserve. When you try to create something different—something that challenges the status quo—you often face resistance. It doesn’t sell, people don’t care, and in the end, you’re left with losses, both financially and emotionally. So the real question is: when do you keep pushing forward, and when do you finally walk away?
I think that someone can shoft focus without abandoning their previous goals. If programming dont work out for me, i can close my buisness, then pick up a traditional office job and keep programming as a hobby. eventually if i build something that is commercially viable i can start up a new business and give it a shot again. it would be stupid of me if i made a product, it flopped, so i decide that im done forever
Is the issue programming or modern culture? How would any other field be any better?
the need to provide better living conditions for our own people, which sometimes forces us to change countries, jobs and so on.
