Honestly I dont think there is much that google can do to not be so dominant and more. Almost everyone optimizes there stuff for googles search. almost everyone uses a gmail and its too much of a pain to get millions of people to switch especially those who have it as their only email that theve used the last decade. Hell, most devices ship with 8.8.8.8 as their default dns. developers make everything compatable with the google eco system. they have a heavy hand on how android progresses. Simply if google bankrupted today, it would take everyone forever to migrate their systems to be more open to a more diverse internet traffic. Imagine the chaos it would cause if they just straight up died. Dont get me wrong, their a bad company, i would love for that to happen. But the world is too slow to adapt to this. Look how many major businesses are still using windows server 2003. how many major online retailers dont have modern practices implemented. There would be no way for these sluggish enterprises to be able to cope with a change like this. Basically to wrap this monologue up, no matter what you do to google, is going to be enough to change every other online environment that participates. We need to address them too.

If these measures allow our applications and websites to be ranked more easily, that's good enough for me
