Do you like RUBY? Do you like GAMES?

no? whats wrong with you? For everyone else who is interesting in making a game hear me out. The annual dragon ruby game jam is coming up sometime next week. Every year they give us a theme that we (mildly) stick too. Last year was boingy or something weird like that. Here, just look at last years submissions. [submissions](https://itch.io/jam/kifass/results) Even if you dont know ruby very well you can learn some some easy tutorials. [one of the free tutorials in book form](https://book.dragonriders.community/)
[more tutorials](https://itch.io/jam/kifass/topic/2764114/tutorials-and-resources#post-7580599) The game jam will be using the DragonRuby game engine. Its a 2d engine and runs with ruby so its pretty simple to learn. Because of the event you can get the engine free! Thats a $50 value! You get to keep it if you participate. [free here](https://dragonruby.itch.io/dragonruby-gtk)
[more info about DRGK](https://dragonruby.org/) At least give it a try. You can work with others on the [official discord](https://discord.gg/dragonruby-game-toolkit-608064116111966245) if you have a discord account. If you need help with something ruby related find me in the ruby chat.

All good. Im not participating this year. Near the end of the event imma be leaving and going outta state for some time and i wouldnt really wana take a vacation and spend it on my computer. So ive decided that ill help people who need help during the time that im still here at home with my desktop in the meantime. Also take a look at that book. It is written for users that dont know ruby at all. The other guides focus more on the features of the engine so skip those, but the book stops at important parts and explains rules of ruby and syntax and all that stuff. So even if you dont participate in the game jam it can still be a good resource to see some real work examples of how classes work and all that type of stuff. :)

I'm already taking a look, I'm very interested in these things and I never waste time hahaha. I know I'm still going to be as good at this as I am at Javascript
